otukama Linus Pauling is the only person to have received two unshared Nobel Prizes - in chemistry and peace. He used quantum mechanics to understand and describe chemical bonding. Later he campaigned vehemently against nuclear weapons and spearheaded a petition to ban nuclear testing.
