AdrianBryan Meet Keletso Monareng, a PhD candidate in Physics at the University of Limpopo, recently named one of the winners of the 7th L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Awards 2025. Her work focuses on sodium-ion batteries, a safer, cheaper, and more eco-friendly alternative to lithium batteries. Instead of toxic lithium, these batteries use salt, making energy storage cleaner and sustainable.
